About the Job
The Director General (Cloud) will head the Cloud Office under MOITT and set the strategic direction for national cloud adoption across Pakistan. This is a senior practitioner role that goes beyond policy, it requires translating strategic frameworks into enterprise-grade, functional infrastructure. The DG Cloud will oversee the Pakistan Cloud First Policy (PCFP) implementation and lead the country's cloud ecosystem from inception to maturity.

Eligibility
Open to candidates holding a Masters or higher qualification in a relevant discipline (Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Business Administration, Management Sciences, or related ICT fields). Minimum 15 years of relevant professional experience required. Must have worked at C-Level or Senior Management in a reputable, preferably large or regulated organization.
Requirements
• Masters or equivalent in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Business Administration, or related ICT discipline. • Minimum 15 years of relevant professional experience. • C-Level or Senior Management experience in large telcos, financial institutions, or regulated organizations. • Demonstrated success in architecting and scaling large technology divisions or digital platforms. • Strong background managing Cloud Service Provider (CSP) organizations. • Experience in public affairs or policy-driven regulated environments. • Deep knowledge of the Pakistani ICT sector (public, semi-private, or private). • Relevant international certifications in enterprise architecture, cloud infrastructure, or cybersecurity preferred.
Responsibilities
• Provide vision and leadership for cloud adoption programs across Pakistan. • Spearhead the operational design and setup of national cloud infrastructure ecosystems. • Develop technical processes for procuring, validating, and operating cloud services. • Ensure functional and technical implementation of the Pakistan Cloud First Policy (PCFP). • Lead formulation of registration, accreditation, and technical audit criteria for CSPs. • Develop government affairs and cloud policy strategies for an enabling environment. • Foster local ICT industry growth through access to cloud-based and emerging technologies. • Provide secretariat support to the Cloud Board and present quarterly progress reports. • Engage public sector organizations, regulators, and policymakers to drive regulatory progress. • Architect and oversee state-level cloud infrastructure initiatives.
