About the Job

The Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication invites applications from dynamic professionals for the position of Director Internet Governance (SPPS-II). The selected candidate will lead Pakistan's Internet Governance strategy, formulate national policies, represent Pakistan at international Internet Governance forums, coordinate stakeholders, conduct policy research, and oversee capacity-building initiatives to strengthen the country's Internet Governance ecosystem. The appointment is initially on a two-year contract, extendable subject to satisfactory performance.

Eligibility

Master's degree or equivalent in a relevant field with at least 10 years of relevant professional experience in Internet Governance, telecommunications, Internet policy, or related areas.

Requirements

Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, International Relations, Business Administration, Management Science, Law, Telecommunications, or another relevant ICT-related discipline. Minimum 10 years of professional experience in Internet policy, Internet governance, telecommunications, or relevant international/regional forums. Experience in developing Internet governance policies, representing national interests in international forums, coordinating multi-stakeholder engagement, leading capacity-building initiatives, and researching Internet governance issues.

Responsibilities

Lead national Internet Governance policy formulation and implementation; represent Pakistan in international forums including IGF, ICANN, APNIC, and APRIGF; develop and manage Internet Governance capacity-building programs; coordinate government, private sector, academia, civil society, ISPs, and technical communities; research emerging Internet Governance trends; provide policy recommendations; advocate Pakistan's interests internationally; perform additional tasks assigned by the Member Digital & Emerging Tech.
