Kuwait Announces Water Supply Suspension In These Areas

The Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy in Kuwait has announced a scheduled suspension and reduction of water supply in several areas on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, due to maintenance work on the country’s distribution network, officials said.

According to the ministry, water pressure may be lower than normal and supply could be disrupted in the Riqqa, Fahad Al‑Ahmad, and Sabahiya areas during the maintenance period.

Officials said the maintenance work will be carried out on Al‑Ghous Street beginning at 8:00 p.m. and is expected to continue for about eight hours, during which the water system will undergo essential checks and repairs.

The ministry thanked residents for their cooperation and patience while the work is in progress, noting that the efforts are part of ongoing measures to ensure the reliability and longevity of the water network.

Residents who face water outages or emergency issues during the maintenance window have been advised to contact the ministry’s emergency hotline on 152 for assistance.
