Pakistan Mobile Market Share: Zong, Ufone Gain in June 2026

Zong and Ufone gained cellular market share in Pakistan during June 2026, while Jazz and Telenor recorded slight declines. According to the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority’s cellular market-share data, Jazz remained the country’s largest mobile operator with a 36.25% share, followed by Zong at 26.72%.

The changes were relatively small and did not alter the ranking of Pakistan’s cellular operators. However, the month-on-month comparison shows that Ufone recorded the largest increase, while Jazz experienced the biggest decline in percentage-point terms.

Jazz Leads as Zong Narrows the Market-Share Gap

Jazz held 36.25% of Pakistan’s cellular market in June 2026, compared with 36.42% in May. Its share therefore declined by 0.17 percentage points during the month.

Despite the decrease, Jazz continued to control more than one-third of the market and maintained a clear lead over every other operator.

Zong strengthened its position as Pakistan’s second-largest cellular operator. Its market share increased from 26.62% in May to 26.72% in June, representing a monthly gain of 0.10 percentage points.

The difference between Jazz and Zong narrowed from 9.80 percentage points in May to 9.53 percentage points in June. Jazz remained comfortably ahead, but Zong reduced the gap by 0.27 percentage points during the month.

Ufone Records the Largest Gain as Telenor Slips

Ufone posted the strongest positive monthly change among Pakistan’s cellular operators. Its market share rose from 14.65% in May to 14.81% in June, an increase of 0.16 percentage points.

The gain did not change Ufone’s overall ranking, as it remained Pakistan’s fourth-largest cellular operator. However, its monthly increase was higher than the gain recorded by Zong.

Telenor remained in third place, but its market share declined from 21.26% to 21.17%. This represents a decrease of 0.09 percentage points.

Meanwhile, SCO’s market share remained unchanged at 1.05% between May and June. An unchanged rounded percentage indicates a stable market-share position, although it does not necessarily mean that the operator’s exact subscriber count remained the same.

What the June 2026 Data Shows

The latest figures point to a gradual shift rather than a major disruption in Pakistan’s cellular market. Jazz retained a strong lead, Zong improved its second-place position, and Ufone achieved the largest individual gain during the month.

However, the PTA market-share figures do not explain why each operator gained or lost ground. The changes should therefore not be attributed to pricing, network coverage, service quality or promotional campaigns without separate supporting evidence.

Overall, Jazz continued to lead Pakistan’s cellular market in June 2026, while Zong and Ufone gained market share and Jazz and Telenor recorded slight declines.
