Pink Scooties in Mirpurkhas: Sindh Govt Announces Date

Sindh government has announced that Pink Scooties will be distributed in Mirpurkhas on September 5, as part of its efforts to improve transport facilities and support women's mobility in the province.

Pink Scooties to Be Distributed in Mirpurkhas

Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon made the announcement while chairing a meeting of the Transport Department.

The meeting reviewed several transport projects, including the People's Bus Service, double-decker buses, EV taxi service, Pink Scooties and Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) projects.

Memon said the Pink Scooties programme would help women with easier access to essential activities. The initiative is also being presented as a step towards women's empowerment and improved mobility.

People's Bus Service Expansion

Officials briefed the meeting about the ongoing operations and expansion of the People's Bus Service in different cities.

The service is expected to start operating on the Qambar Shahdadkot to Larkana route soon, while buses have already reached Larkana.

Memon directed officials to complete arrangements for new bus routes on time. He said the expansion aims to provide better transport facilities to the public.

Double-Decker Buses and EV Taxi Service

The meeting also reviewed preparations for the arrival and operation of double-decker buses.

Officials also briefed the minister about the operational model and preparations for launching the EV taxi service.

BRT Projects and Transport Plans

Memon directed officials to speed up work on ongoing BRT projects and improve coordination between relevant institutions to prevent unnecessary delays.

He said the Sindh government was taking practical steps to develop modern, safe and environment-friendly public transport.

The expansion of the People's Bus Service, promotion of electric transport and BRT projects are part of the province's broader transport policy.
