Currency Rates in Pakistan: Dollar Near Rs278 on July 13

KARACHI: The Pakistani rupee remained largely stable against major international currencies on Monday, July 13, after the State Bank of Pakistan released its official mark-to-market revaluation rates. The US dollar was valued at Rs278.0232, while the Saudi riyal stood at Rs74.0507. The UAE dirham was recorded at Rs75.7020, and the British pound traded at Rs372.4260.

The US dollar showed little movement in the ready market as foreign exchange participants adjusted their positions during the second week of July.

Among Gulf currencies, the Kuwaiti dinar remained the highest-valued currency listed in the report at Rs903.4060.

The Bahraini dinar was valued at Rs737.3643, while the Qatari riyal stood at Rs76.2595. The Omani riyal was recorded at Rs722.1006.

The Saudi riyal and UAE dirham also maintained stable rates against the Pakistani rupee. Both currencies remain important for overseas workers, remittances and commercial payments involving Gulf countries.

Among other major currencies, the Canadian dollar was valued at Rs196.6148. The Australian dollar was quoted slightly lower at Rs192.9342.
