Pakistan Railways Restores Train Operations Across Balochistan After Three-Day Suspension

Train Services Return to Normal

Pakistan Railways has resumed train operations across Balochistan after a three-day suspension. All services restarted on Saturday and are now running according to their regular schedules.

According to railway officials, operations in the province have fully returned to normal. The Jaffar Express departed from Quetta for Peshawar at its scheduled time, marking the restoration of a key transportation route.

Jaffar Express and Other Services Resume

The return Jaffar Express service from Peshawar to Quetta also resumed on Saturday morning. This has restored an important travel connection between Balochistan and other parts of the country.

Railway authorities stated that all necessary arrangements have been completed to ensure the smooth operation of train services.

What Happened During the Suspension?

Railway services were temporarily suspended due to what officials described as “unavoidable circumstances.” The disruption affected several routes operating to and from Quetta.

During the suspension, the departure of the Jaffar Express from Quetta was halted, while the train traveling from Peshawar to Quetta was stopped and sent back from Jacobabad. In addition, the Bolan Mail and Chaman Passenger trains were also temporarily taken out of service.

Security Concerns Increased After Quetta Blast

The suspension followed a deadly explosion near a railway track in Quetta’s Chaman Phatak area. The blast claimed the lives of 14 people and raised serious security concerns across the region.

Following the incident, authorities implemented precautionary measures, leading to temporary disruptions in railway operations throughout the province.

Normal Schedule Fully Restored

Pakistan Railways has now fully restored all major services, with trains operating according to their regular schedules. Officials say the goal is to provide safe and reliable travel while rebuilding passenger confidence in the railway network.
