Shalimar Express Bogie Derails Near Khanewal, Passengers Safe

The 28th Shalimar Express, traveling from Lahore to Karachi, experienced a bogie derailment near Khanewal Railway Station, causing a delay of approximately one hour. Fortunately, all passengers remained safe and there were no reported casualties.

Railway officials confirmed that a relief train has been dispatched from Multan to assist in restoring the service. Efforts are underway to remove the affected bogie and ensure the train resumes its journey as soon as possible.

A spokesperson from the Multan Division of Railways stated that an investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the incident. Meanwhile, work to restore the track is progressing rapidly to minimize disruptions and maintain safety standards.
