Five Labourers Killed in Terrorist Attack in Mashkel

QUETTA: At least five labourers were killed when terrorists opened fire in the Mashkel area of Washuk, police said. The victims, who belonged to different parts of Punjab, were working at local shops when they came under attack. The assailants escaped from the area following the incident, while police launched an investigation.

Police said arrangements were being made to send the bodies of the victims to their ancestral hometowns.

The attackers fled the scene after carrying out the attack. Police have started investigating the incident to establish further details.

Balochistan Chief Minister’s spokesperson Shahid Rind expressed deep sorrow over the killings and strongly condemned the attack.

He said the provincial government had taken notice of the incident and assured that those responsible would not escape arrest.
